Memorial weekend has always been a busy one for weddings and this year was no exception. We photographed two that weekend with Jeremy and Chloe's wedding being the first, which was on that Saturday at the gorgeous Weir-Jordan House near downtown Greensboro.  My second photographer, Jenny and I arrived early enough to capture some preparation shots at the house. They have has this fabulous antique clawfoot tub in the upstairs bathroom and adventurous Chloe climbed right in with her wedding dress on pre-ceremony. The light in that room was a photographer's dream making for some gorgeous photos of Chloe.

Jeremy and Chloe decided to do a first look before the ceremony. Many couples are opting to do which helps ease their nerves and to give them a little more private time together. It's also a great idea in that you can get as many photos done ahead of time, so that you can fully enjoy your reception too. They chose to do theirs on the upstairs veranda with Jeremy's back turned and Chloe coming outside through a door and walking up and tapping him on his shoulder. I always love the reactions of the couples when they do a first look. Always such a sweet moment.

Although these two did see one another beforehand, when Chloe and her dad came down the front stairs of the house into the ceremony area Jeremy was overjoyed to see her. Chloe wiped tears of joy from her sweetheart's eyes as they read their vows to one another. Chloe was absolutely stunning in her lace wedding dress, wearing her mother's long flowing veil and floral head piece. Jeremy is in the Air Force and wore his dress blues for the ceremony. They chose to get married outside on the front lawn with friends and family circling all around with them in the center. I liked this unique style of seating.

After the ceremony Jeremy and Chloe changed into more comfortable reception clothing, joining their guests for mimosas and other cocktails on the adjoining side porch and the large front room of the house downstairs. A fabulous catered meal was served buffet style in the dining room. They chose to have breakfast for dinner with pancakes, biscuits, crab cakes, hash brown casserole, fresh fruits & vegetables on the menu. Two long tables on the front lawn were set-up outside for guests to sit and enjoy their fabulous meal. Jeremy and Chloe sat at their own sweetheart table outside too, which was the absolute cutest. It was in the shape of a heart!

Once the guests were finished with dinner, everyone came inside to see Jeremy and Chloe play "the shoe game", which is absolutely hilarious! After lots of laughs, the toasts were made, followed by more happy tears. Jeremy and Chloe then did their first dance to "I'm Going to Walk (500 Miles)" by the Proclaimers, then she with her dad, and he with his mother. The newlyweds then cut their wedding cake and desserts were served to the guests. Afterwards the dance floor opened up and everyone had such a fabulous time! Chloe's brother Alex was not only her man-of-honor he also was their DJ and he knew how to keep everyone out on the dance floor!

Once the evening came to a close, Jeremy and Chloe made their sparkler exit and all of their guests wished them well. Waiting for them out front was a chauffeur and an old London style taxi cab which took them to the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro for overnight stay. The next day they departed for their weeklong honeymoon trip to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando, Florida!
